School sports promotion foundation

Through its tournaments, SSPF will identify talent and encourage them to

compete for their respective district and state teams to be able to rise to  national and international levels

of competitive sport. SSPF has put together a chain of coordinators to ensure that the school

children will get to showcase their talent and be rewarded as well. The coordinators at the cluster,district

and state levels will work in tandem with  schools in providing the talent the right platform to show their skills.

education. To help India make winning a habit, to encourage sporting talent and to

promote and celebrate success across wide range of sport.

  • To identify, coordinate and improve use of sports infrastructure.

  • To identify resources, support and coaches in each sport.

  • To provide sports talent opportunity to compete in tournaments at all levels.

  • To arrange for coaching at district, state and national levels.

  • To build teams at various levels leading up to the international stage.

Associates And Authorities Of SSPF

  • SSPF signed and MOU with sports authority of India for the development of sports in India.

  • SSPF signed MOU with Doordarshan for promotion and live coverage of matches.

  • Ministry of Human resources Development (MHRD) have associated with SSPF for National Talent search and nurture

  • Ministry of Youth affairs sports endorse the program and pledge support.

  • More than 25 states and 650 districts are part of SSPF.

  • The process of selection will go through school level, cluster level, district level then finally state level and the best will moved ahead for national level.

  • Soon Bengaluru Public School and its management will be leading SSPF in Karnataka and it will be led by Dr Afshad Ahmed B.Z (Chairman, BPS).
